Any time temperatures get around freezing (32 degrees Fahrenheit) we suggest that you drain and cover your exposed pipes outside of your house.

Shut Down Procedure

1. Close main ball valve located in basement or crawl space.
2. Open drain and place a bucket underneath (more water will drain out when step 4 and 5 are performed.)
3. Locate pressure vacuum breaker (backflow prevention device) outside the house.
4. Turn the two large handled valves (also called isolation valve) ¼ of a turn.
5. With a screwdriver open air cocks ¼ of a turn.
6. Remove cap from brass 90. Place cap somewhere SAFE, most prefer taping to timer.
7. Open drain valve located inside green valve box cover.
8. From the timer, press the MAN START button one time to allow controller to complete one full cycle through all of the zones.
